CO2 is a natural gas that poses no danger to food products, does not require recycling, is non-flammable, non-combustible, non-explosive, widely available, and inexpensive. It has an ozone depletion potential (ODP) of 0 and a global warming potential (GWP) of 1. CO2 has attractive thermophysical properties and, compared to similar halocarbon refrigerants, has low viscosity, high volumetric capacity, high thermal conductivity, and high vapor density. In terms of efficiency, CO2 has reached competitive levels with transcritical cycles, especially in northern regions, and with subcritical cascade cycles in southern regions. The first Subcritical and Transcritical applications in Turkey were implemented by Çözüm Soğutma. Our technical office creates custom designs based on customer requests and system requirements.
